Southwest Gas Corporation offers a Traditional IRA to residents of Arizona, California and Nevada, SWG shareholders and SWG natural gas customers. This plan is not open to SWG employees. What type of IRA can I open? |

A: Only a Traditional IRA which will invest primarily in the Company’s Common Stock. |

Can I open an IRA account? |
| |
A: To determine if you are eligible to participate in the IRA program, please read the IRA Agreement. Participation in the Plan is wholly voluntary and you must meet the IRA eligibility requirements as described in the IRA Agreement. |

Are there fees to open an IRA account? |
| |
A: Yes, there is an annual administrative fee of $25.00. |

When can I make contributions to an IRA? |
| |
A: You can make a contribution as early as January 1 or wait as late as the income tax deadline of the following year. For example, for any tax year you can make your contribution(s) anytime between January 1 and before April 15 of the following calendar year. |

Can anyone contribute to an IRA? |
| |
A: Anyone under the age of 70 ½ with earned taxable income can contribute to a Traditional IRA every year. Please read the IRA Agreement for a complete explanation. |

What tax information will you provide to me? |
| |
A: Southwest Gas will mail you a 5498 IRA Contribution Information tax form. It will show contributions you made in the previous year through April 15 of the current year. If you make a withdrawal the Trustee will mail you a 1099-R tax form.
